In “Training Day,” Lucy (Melissa O’Neil) showed how brave she was by putting her life in danger to protect her coworkers from a shooter. Lucy was shot at the end of the show, but her bulletproof vest saved her. Her coworkers and fans were relieved but shocked. The fifth episode will focus on Lucy and the people around her in the aftermath of the shooting as she heals from the trauma.
The central plot revolves around a heartbreaking discovery—a toddler found at the scene of a crime. John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and Bailey have to decide whether to take the child to a shelter for the night or take care of her themselves. As John and Bailey deal with their own problems and the difficulties of taking care of a young child, this plot looks like it will be both heartwarming and difficult.
At the same time, Officer Tim Bradford (Eric Winter) will be hit by a blast from the past, which will make him disappear.
