This season, coaches each have two steals to maybe sign standout players from other teams, which will heighten the tension and suspense throughout the show.

Let’s examine the performances and the difficult choices the coaches had to make as tvacute revisit the episode:

Team Legend: Ephraim Owens vs. Deejay Young

In a titanic match, Tampa, Florida-born Deejay Young, 33, defeated Ephraim Owens. Deejay’s rendition of Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River” in the Battle round was thrilling, and his Blind Audition performance of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work” made an impression. Even though Ephraim Owens gave it his all, Deejay won and secured his place in the Knockout Round.

Remark: Deejay and Ephraim’s battle demonstrated their amazing voice abilities, which made John Legend’s choice difficult. Ultimately, Deejay’s performance cemented the contract and paved the way for his future endeavors.

Team Legend: Willie Gomez vs. Stee

The charming Willie Gomez squared off against Stee, who had mesmerized the audience with his Blind Audition rendition of Maroon 5’s “Sugar”. John Legend joined the two gifted musicians to play “Tacones Rojos” by Sebastián Yatra. Even though Stee performed exceptionally well and had personality and excitement, Willie Gomez’s outstanding performance took center stage. Many were in shock when Willie was decided not to be stolen.

Comment: One of the episode’s most memorable scenes was the battle between Stee and Willie. Willie was deemed the champion by many due to his unquestionable stage presence and lightning-fast lyricism.

Tanner Massey vs. Lennon Vanderdoes, Team Gwen

The squad led by Gwen Stefani saw many thrilling battles. Tanner Massey took on Lennon Vanderdoes after winning the coaches over with a performance of Lewis Capaldi’s “Before You Go” at his blind audition. Their rendition of Billy Joel’s “Always A Woman” was one of the episode’s highlights since it was strong and passionate. Tanner qualified for the Knockouts with his riveting performance, but Team Niall grabbed Lennon.

Team Reba: Jackson Snelling versus Jordan Rainer

Reba McEntire & Vince Gill’s “The Heart Won’t Lie” pitted Jordan Rainer against Jackson Snelling in an engrossing battle. Jordan won the competition with an intensely passionate performance.
