The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 5 Recap
Friendships and relationships suffered from the apocalypse’s rising destruction as our survivors confronted old problems and fought new threats. Carol, Aaron, Jerry, and Lydia search the remnants of the Hilltop Colony for supplies and come across a small group of living Whisperers. Aaron tortures the leader, who argues they’re no longer a threat, but Carol intervenes to prevent Aaron from doing something he might repent. The Whisperer informs the gang about Connie’s whereabouts in return for his life being preserved; they decide to leave the next morning to hunt for her. In other news, Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko, and Princess attend Commonwealth training, where Yumiko reunites with her brother, Tomi. Stephanie tries to help Eugene contact Alexandria on the radio as they tour the neighborhood. They are apprehended and detained by community troops but are later freed on the instructions of Lance Hornsby, the deputy governor, and director of operations. Elsewhere, Maggie and Negan make their way through the woods, stopping in an abandoned neighborhood house to wait for the others; Gabriel and Elijah finally join them. Judith has a run-in with the local adolescent population in Alexandria. Meanwhile, Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko, and Princess are still being held captive by mystery troops who are groups of a bigger and unnamed group, unbeknownst to people in Alexandria.
