Tough as Nails Season 5 Episode 9: Who was eliminated?
Teams Challenge: In this episode, the competitors engaged in a one-on-one trades competition at a construction site. The tasks included hauling a log 100 feet, cutting a standing log in half, and shaving down a plank with a rasp plane. Each round’s victor received a hatchet, with the fourth hatchet being worth two points.
The Savage Crew won in the Teams Challenge of Tough as Nails Season 5. They engaged in a one-on-one battle of the trades where they had to perform feats like hauling a log 100 feet and sawing a standing wood in half. Each round’s victor was awarded a hatchet, with the fourth victory earning two hatchets. Savage Crew won the challenge after obtaining a total of five hatchets.
Individual Challenge: The competitors moved on to the Individual Challenge after the Teams Challenge. They had to put together a picnic table. A cash prize of $9,000 would be given to the first competitor to finish the assembly of the picnic table.
Participants in the next Individual Challenge had to put together a picnic table. Ben triumphed and received $9,000 for his victory. Dustin and Todd, the final two competitors standing, might have been eliminated in the Overtime Challenge.
Contestants in the Bottom Two: Following the Individual Challenge, the two slowest competitors were chosen and placed in the Bottom Two. “Dustin Bradford (34)” and “Todd Anderson (58)” were the two candidates in danger of being eliminated in this episode.
Todd and Dustin had to use a portable milling machine to chop logs into four 2x8s and eight 2x4s for the Overtime Challenge. The person who finished the challenge first would avoid elimination, and the second would lose their chance to compete individually.
Sadly, Firefighter “Dustin Bradford” was the competitor that did poorly in the Overtime Challenge and was removed from the individual competition.
