Tracker Season 2 Episode 14 Recap: A small town near New Orleans has some scary secrets. In “Exodus,” Justin Hartley plays Colter Shaw, who gets caught up in a scary mystery involving missing children, strange symbols, and a bad past that won’t go away. Anton Crawford, who is 15, goes missing without a trace, and his father, Deon, hires Colter to find him. But this case isn’t just about finding a missing person; it’s also about going into a community that’s haunted by unsolved murders and a force that many people think can’t be explained.
THE SEARCH BEGINS
Anton Crawford was last seen on his way home from elite music school, but he never got there. When his dad, Deon, called the police, they didn’t seem to care—they won’t give more attention to a missing teen who hasn’t been seen in more than 24 hours. Deon is angry and scared, so he decides to do something about it himself. He offers Colter Shaw a $10,000 reward and asks him to help him.
Detective Veach (Marci T. House) reveals that Anton isn’t the first to go missing. In fact, three other teenagers have vanished under similar circumstances in the past five years, all from the same neighborhood. They found one of them dead, Kevin Perkins, and the community never liked the idea that he had just been robbed. Deon thinks that their town has a deeper darkness, something that can’t be seen but is definitely there.
Colter and Veach look into Anton’s last known location and find important clues, such as fresh tire tracks, a bloody metal post, and Anton’s saxophone reed. Anton was attacked by a group of teens, as shown on surveillance video. Colter and Veach find a boy named Cal among them. Cal is vague at first, but when pushed, he says he and Anton were friends who hid their relationship from bullies. He also gives them a new lead: Anton had been meeting with a woman named Sherry behind her back.
A NEW SUSPECT
The investigation then turns its attention to Sherry, a pianist with a troubled past. Fraud and drug charges are on her record, and sealed records hint at a kidnapping case from the past that was later dropped. Colter is looking for Anton, and his friend Reenie (Fiona Rene) is having her own problems. A powerful businessman named Leo Sharf comes up to her and wants to know bad things about a former partner. Reenie isn’t sure about the request because it seems sketchy, but the money is too good to pass up.
At the same time, Colter and Veach break into Sherry’s empty house and find evidence of a hasty exit. Anton’s borrowed clothes are there, along with a suit that looks like it was laid out carefully, which means he changed before leaving. Colter doesn’t believe Veach that Anton was groomed, but Veach does. It seems to him that Anton left with Sherry because he had to, not because he wanted to.
Their next stop is the Sax and Shaker Jazz Club, where Sherry frequently performed. The club’s owner, Hugo, confirms that Sherry played the night Anton disappeared. The house manager, Jessica, reveals Anton worked there illegally, earning cash under the table. She saw them both that night, but neither she nor anyone else noticed them leaving. Colter, ever the tracker, searches the club’s old architecture and finds a hidden passage. Inside, strange pictographs mark the walls, and a recently used door leads them to a horrifying discovery—a body concealed behind hay bales.
A DARK RITUAL
The victim is 15-year-old Gabriella, who appears to have died from poisoning or an overdose. Veach identifies the symbols around the body as related to an ancient, sinister ritual. This isn’t voodoo—it’s something much darker. Colter recalls spotting a Bible at Sherry’s home, which makes him doubt her involvement in such practices. When Reenie calls with more information, she confirms that Sherry wasn’t a kidnapper—she was actually protecting a child from an abusive home, with the help of her brother, Father Jesiah Chevelle.
Colter pieces it together: Anton and Sherry were running from something inside the jazz club, and now they’re hiding. The best place to go for sanctuary? Jesiah’s church. Hugo confirms Jesiah is the priest at St. Paul’s, and Colter and Veach head there immediately.
THE FINAL PIECES
Inside the church, Colter and Veach discover something alarming—an ancient book filled with instructions for dark magic, including rituals for summoning, sacrifice, and even immortality. Veach remembers that Kevin Perkins, the boy found in the lake, had a tattoo of one of the symbols. This means that his murder was not random; it was part of something much bigger.
With the mystery deepening, the urgency to find Anton grows. Colter and Veach must untangle the dark history of the town and its connection to these rituals before another innocent life is lost. As they close in on the truth, one thing becomes clear: this case isn’t just about missing kids—it’s about a malevolent force that has plagued the town for years.
Tracker Season 2 Episode 14 delivers an eerie and gripping chapter, proving once again that Colter Shaw is willing to face even the most sinister of mysteries to bring justice.
