TRACKER” SEASON 1: MEET COLTER’S BROTHER, RUSSELL SHAW
In the CBS Original series “Tracker,” Russell Shaw is one of the most important characters. Russell, played by Jensen Ackles, is the older brother of the show’s main character, Colter Shaw. The two don’t get along very well.
Russell’s troubled past and his tense ties with his family, especially Colter, are at the heart of the story. Russell is linked to a sad event in the Shaw family history in which it is strongly suggested that he killed their father Ashton Shaw by pushing him off a cliff. This event has had a huge effect on the family relationship and has caused a rift between Russell and his family. On the other hand, in “Tracker” Season 1 Episode 12, “Off the Books,” Colter has to work with Russell to find a lost army buddy. Russell’s character is paranoid and distant, and it’s not clear what drives him or what kind of person he is.
Colter and Russell’s mother is Mary Shaw. She hasn’t been seen since the beginning of the show, but she is very important to the family. Mary tells Colter to stay away from Russell, which shows that there are deep-seated problems in the family.
Dory Shaw is Russell and Colter’s younger sister, but she hasn’t been in the story much either. But her future appearance in Season 1 of “Tracker” should help explain who she is and what her role is in the family. Now that Dory Shaw is part of the story, fans can expect to learn more about the Shaw family’s past and the things that caused their relationships to break down.
