Cassie and Walker are dispatched to investigate after a hacker breaches a server farm belonging to the local government. They are successful in arresting the hacker. At the farm, Bonham Walker’s plainly irritated with his grandson for all the trouble he has given the family, particularly his grandmother Abby. August has been a source of stress for the entire family. Walker and Cassie attend a lunch gathering hosted by the Mayor’s office, where it is revealed that they will both be awarded for the valiant deeds they took while serving as Texas Rangers. They had a chance encounter with Kevin, a difficult love interest for Cassie, as well as Julia, a reporter who was locked up with Walker. Kevin and Cassie discuss their current romantic status with one another. Walker and Julia talk to one another about the traumatic experience that they had in common. After receiving an unexpected letter from his long-lost grandma Gale, Colton Davidson is at a loss for what to do next. Trey, who disobeyed James’ orders and was sent to desk duty as a consequence, examines the surveillance video from the break-in and observes that the hacker looks to be working along with the person he claims to be held hostage. Trey has a strong desire to question the hacker, but he was taken aback when he discovered that he had allegedly posted bail.
