When Montana’s new horse is stolen by rustler Seb Holgate after she bests him in a shooting competition. Montana sets out after him and is joined by Kathleen. On the trail of the thieves, they witness a shooting and are pursued into the bush. Matt arrives to see Holgate about to shoot Kathleen. Meanwhile, Colin and Emily decide to leave Langara to live in town.
