What If Episode 5 Recap
In this episode, he sees the streets empty and believes Thanos has arrived. Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Wong have all turned into zombies and are trying to eat him. First Doctor Strange’s magical cape, then the remaining Avengers save him. Spiderman, Wasp, Winter Soldier, and Okoye, the Dora Milaje leader, are the remaining heroes. Hank Pym finds Janet van Dyne zombified in the Quantum Realm. She infects him, and they return to spread the virus. Zombies can still use technology or magic. Later, Bruce Banner, the Cloak of Levitation, Hope van Dyne, Peter Parker, and Kurt learn of a camp developing a cure. A zombie attack takes Hogan, Carter, and Hope. Vision’s Mind Stone can cure the virus, as shown by a cured Scott Lang’s head kept alive in a jar. A dismembered T’Challa, fed to an infected Wanda Maximoff, is found. Maximoff eludes Kurt, Okoye, and Barnes. Vision dies giving Parker the Mind Stone. The Hulk battles Maximoff, allowing the others to flee. Parker, Lang, T’Challa, and the Cloak travel to Wakanda, unaware that it is under siege by zombies. But Thanos’ gauntlet, minus the Mind Stone, is wielded by a zombie.
