What We Do in the Shadows Season 3 Episode 6 Recap
However, as a deadly military head of state, we learn during the program. Nandor (Kayvan Novak) would blame another country and declare war when something goes awry on one of his battlefields. Nadja’s (Natasia Demetriou) evasion of accountability is passed off as simple forgetfulness. The Sire’s given name, Goéjlrm, as inscribed on an antique parchment, takes on a life of its own. When pressed, Nandor prepares correct pronunciation before confronting the undead press, while Nadja suffers from its mangling. Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) takes command in a non-aggressive manner. When confronted with the potential that Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) will be unable to locate water, glasses, and ice, Guillermo tightens the screws.
The finest scene in the show is when Dark Shade (Kristen Schaal) introduces Nadja and the viewer to The Watchers, who have been silently watching over Manhattan from atop an ancient gothic edifice. Colin Robinson has finally discovered a new source of energy that has twice the effect. Colin’s eyes are practically aglow as the vampires drive to Ozone Park, Queens, to chase the roguish, freed Sire, and there’s no need for special effects. Baron Afanas has spent the previous two years buried alive in the vampires’ Staten Island home’s backyard. He’s been digging sideways the entire time, not knowing which direction he was hurled into the makeshift grave. The Baron is an old vampire, second only to the Sire in age. He believes he is riding in a car that he is operating with his mind.
The Sire appears to be such a terrifying creature. Track by Nadja and Laszlo (Matt Berry). The shock of it all lasts long after the punch line. Laszlo appears to have been adequately throttled, thankfully by plastic bins, and Nadja appears to be horrified and ashamed. She goes from cajoling and indulging to cringing and sobbing in a matter of seconds, just to land on the stupidest of gags.In the wilds of Nutley, New Jersey, where devil dogs roam free and dinner is as simple as an Airbnb ad, the episode closes on a gloriously happy note.
