When Calls the Heart Season 9 Episode 6 Recap

Nathan makes an attempt to mount Newton, but he has difficulty. He puts the saddle on and takes Newton on a walk with a little patience, only to find a traffic jam in the square, which annoys Newton. The excitement and noise bothers everyone, so Henry parks his car on the side of the road and walks to work. Elizabeth expresses her worries to Rosemary regarding Lucas’s engagement with Walden. She attempts to talk to Lucas about it, but he is deafeningly silent. Ned is concerned because a case of cling peaches has gone stolen. Molly stops by, and Florence is inspired by something she says. Mike pays May a visit for a styptic pencil and complements Faith on her hair. After that, Faith inquires about May and Jeffrey. There was no way things were going to work out. Bill reminds Lee that he and Rosemary manage the paper while Nathan, Bill, and Lee discuss the traffic difficulties they can’t do anything about because Mike is mayor.

Mike pays a visit to the clinic to invite Faith to supper. He claims she is clinical and objective in assessing events in order to make the best judgments possible, and that he may benefit from her advise. Bill is consulted by Lucas, Fiona, and Henry. He admits that the verdict is vague, but he agrees that everyone should be concerned about the potential of the mines reopening. Fiona wants to cancel the contract, but you can’t do that once money has been exchanged.  A group of men are constructing something with Lee’s wood right outside the Village Voice office, and when he confronts them, things get ugly. The guys are apparently constructing a sign promoting Foundry job openings. Nathan inquires about May’s arrival in Hope Valley. Nathan is unsure about settling here after she says it’s time to travel the globe. Rosemary and Lee are all aflutter when Faith and Mike enter the tavern, but it’s not because of them. Lee is ecstatic about his next column. Because he believes Lee has his hands full right now, Joseph decides not to speak with him about partnering or a raise. Lee’s actions resemble Joseph’s when he first began preaching. Lee is on a rescue mission in Hope Valley.

Minnie will chat with Bill about purchasing the diner, they decide. Residents are congregating in the streets to discuss Lee’s editorial in the newspaper. Lee wants to print more copies of the edition, but Rosemary refuses because they’ve already done so much. She’s also concerned that the paper is exacerbating the problem. She claims that Mike cannot be blamed for all of Hope Valley’s issues. Despite his disapproval, he calls and cancels the second run. Ned is relieved to have discovered the peaches. Lucas recalls the good old days, when the only complaint was the saloon’s noise. Henry pays Fiona a visit. He didn’t go to start anything, but rather to assist her in understanding how things work. May expresses his concerns regarding Nathan’s riding confidence. He wonders if she’s told Nathan about her marriage because he believes that people who are upset by the truth are living a lie. Elizabeth is visited by Allie. After being gone for a few months, she no longer feels like she belongs. Others think she’s still a youngster because she’s growing up. Some people are employed. She’s also worried about Robert taking Angela for a bike trip. Allie is advised by Elizabeth to quit trying so hard to fit in and to just be herself. Be in a place where she feels at ease. Nathan walks into the pharmacy with a vengeance. He’s enraged. May had a conversation with Bill. Fiona is returning to San Francisco with a message for Jerome. Mike posts a sign on the door of his new office and soon locks it. Bill notices Mike is an only child and decides to take him on a walk to express his support for Mike’s mayorship. He previously filled in for Abigail and had the same deficiency.  Nathan requests that Elizabeth teach him how to drive. Elizabeth requests that Joseph construct a book cart for her so that she can drive into the mountains and deliver books to those who need them most.
