Who plays Athena’s Parents on “9-1-1”?

On 9-1-1 Season 6 Episode 1, leaves viewers with quite a cliffhanger for the parents of Athena (Angela Bassett). Athena’s father who has appeared since the second season of the series, Samuel inadvertently crashes his car into his and Beatrice’s house. While Beatrice was on FaceTime, Athena and Bobby (Peter Krause) could only watch in horror. However, who portrays Athena’s parents at 9-1-1? Fans want to know who played Athena’s parents.

Samuel Carter, Athena’s father, is portrayed by Henry G. Sanders.

Henry and Beverly co-starred in the 1986 thriller The Ladies Club, so 9-1-1 isn’t even their first joint screen appearance. Athena’s father, Samuel Carter, was named Henry G. Illustrated by Sanders. Athena’s mother Beatrice Carter is portrayed by Beverly Todd.

Beverly, a People’s Choice Award-winning actress, worked with Sidney Poitier in Brother John, Give Me Mr. Tibbs!, The Lost Man, and the Broadway play Carry Me Back to Morningside Heights. Leon on Me, Crash and The Bucket List are some of the other movies in which he has starred. The actress had a child named Malik, who was murdered outside a teen dance club in Salt Lake City in 1989 at the age of 18. The actress was previously married to TV and film director Chris Keiser.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times in 1991, Beverly and Chris established a scholarship in Malik’s honor after passing through the Kwanzaa Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by a group of Black actors.
