In The Mandalorian Season 3: Is it going to be the beginning of the Ahsoka storyline??
The Mandalorian is one of the few shows that we look forward to most, even though season 3 is still quite a ways off. Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo will star in Dave Filoni’s Star Wars: Ahsoka, which Filoni and Jon Favreau will produce. We now anticipate the release of fresh episodes in early Feb 2023, and we anticipate seeing more trailers and teasers in the future.
But for now, we do know that Ahsoka presents a fantastic opportunity to both explore storylines on this show and set up the upcoming major Star Wars entry. Will The Mandalorian actually try to accomplish that, at least in part? In a sense, you could say that the answer is true “yes,” though perhaps not in the way you might expect.
One thing to keep in mind is that, unlike The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka is not designed to be a sort of semi-natural continuation of The Mandalorian. We don’t anticipate it to diverge significantly from Rosario Dawson’s role. The best you can hope for, in our opinion, are a few nods and a few sporadic unexpected appearances.
With Dawson appearing in season 3, one could argue that The Mandalorian has done enough to establish the Ahsoka series. If you will, that is almost your backdoor pilot. Whatever she gives us this season would just be the cherry on top. Keep in mind that The Mandalorian doesn’t need to do anything to introduce Ahsoka because she has already appeared in years’ worth of animated content.
