Yellowjackets Episode 8 Recap
Back in the woods, As she prepares to burn Van’s body, a torchlight dances across Tai’s face. Van, on the other hand, is still alive! The youngsters rush to save her from the flames before returning to the cabin. Laura’s religious ties through some brief flashbacks. She smashed her head in the pool as a child, and a thin dribble of blood flows from her open wound. She’s on the verge of drowning when she’s rescued by a lifeguard wearing a gold cross. The lifeguard grins up at her and tells her that she was saved by the Lord. Laura seemed to have turned to God for guidance from this point forward.
Natalie catches up with Coach while still in the wilderness and asks him about his relationship with Misty. She isn’t stupid, and she recognises that this is all a ruse. She realises he’s gay since he doesn’t look at any of the other girls. She agrees to keep it a secret, but she’s concerned that Travis might be gay as well, especially after his performance. Coach assuages her fears by assuring her that this isn’t the case. Travis ends up talking to Jackie by the lake, and she tells him about Nat sleeping with Bobby Farleigh. This causes him to reconsider Nat, and after confronting her back at the cabin, he calls an end to their lust-fueled affair. With Jackie looming in the background, Nat quickly realises that she is to fault.
Van eventually returns to the cabin, where her muted cries break the silence. Laura is motivated to put her plan into action after hearing this. She’s going to fly the plane south and obtain help after studying the flying instructions for the past two weeks and knowing the petrol tank is full. Because Van need immediate medical attention, Jackie comes up and forces Shauna to inform the others that she is pregnant. There’s a rising hatred in her, and it’s partly due to Jackie’s interfering in personal matters. Knowing who Shauna has been sleeping with, on the other hand, provides her an excuse to ruffle some significant feathers. Everything here appears to be about to blow up in a dramatic way.
Callie confronts Shauna about her affair with Adam in the present. Shauna retaliates, claiming that Jeff has been “taking inventory” for far too long and is equally responsible. Callie, on the other hand, raises a more serious issue. She can’t discover any information about Adam on the internet. Callie warns her to be cautious, pointing out that he could be a con artist looking to sell a Yellowjackets narrative. As a result, Shauna conducts some study and concludes that Callie may be correct. However, she is interrupted by Jeff, who arrives with some clothing for her. Their reunion is approaching, and he wants her to look her best.
Taissa shows up at supper that night. Tai reveals she’s been having some issues as she walks out the door with Shauna. She’s losing control due to sleepwalking and the disappearance of Biscuit the dog, which she believes she’s to blame for. With Callie gone, Shauna urges her to stay the night, and the two talk about Shauna’s affair and Tai’s lack of interest in Simone. Shauna confronts Adam the next morning, determined to learn more about his history. When he admits to lying about school, he assures her that the rest of what he’s told her is true. He even invites her on a weekend getaway to a cottage in the woods, promising to tell her everything.
Although Shauna initially believes his storey, she begins to have reservations later in the episode. Love is said to be blind (or is it lust?). However, it takes finding bits of glitter in Adam’s closet to begin suspecting that the show’s most visibly suspicious man is genuinely suspicious. Misty, on the other hand, rushes over to Nat’s place when she sees her preparing to acquire some drugs. To be precise, $300 worth. As they converse, Nat notices the hidden camera and wonders what Misty is up to. Misty emphasises that they are friends, and that friends watch out for one other. Nat, on the other hand, does not see it that way and pushes her out.
Nat’s downward spiral continues, with her even blackmailing a former running partner. This is Suzie, a former treatment sponsor who she assaulted ten years ago. Nat, on the other hand, has some pretty tasty power over her, considering that she used to sell customer data to fund her habit, and with this knowledge, she compels Suzie to figure out who stole Travis’s money. As we near the end of this episode, our focus returns to the woods. Laura Lee is able to control the plane. At least, that’s how it started. A fire breaks out in the plane while it is in the air, finally resulting in the entire plane exploding.
